According to an analysis done by Joe Vranich, president of McKinney, Texas-based site-selection consulting firm Spectrum Location Services, 17 companies moved their headquarters from California to Arizona from January 2018 to June 2021, a number far surpassed by Texas, which had 107 companies relocate to the state from California over the same time period.
An increasing number of people from California and other major cities on the coasts are fleeing higher taxes and looking for cheaper real estate and a better quality of life in Arizona, according to experts.
