Glendale wasn’t the top destination for guests when the Super Bowl was hosted at State Farm Stadium in 2015 despite its regional draw with two sporting venues and dozens of restaurants, hotels and entertainment offerings.

While the big game is held in Glendale and attracts tens of thousands to the Valley, many visitors are known to stay, dine and party in the tourism magnet cities of Scottsdale or Phoenix. Unlike other big markets, the Valley's major sporting venues are spread out far across the Phoenix metro, and Glendale's relatively young sports and entertainment district has experienced a lot of growing pains.

But this weekend, when Glendale hosts its third Super Bowl on Feb. 12, new and returning visitors might reconsider where they spend their time after seeing the significant upgrades and new concepts progressing across the West Valley’s largest entertainment center, which spans hundreds of acres along the Loop 101 from Northern Avenue to Camelback Road.
