IDM Cos. has $1 billion in apartment construction plans on its drawing board.

The Vancouver, Washington-based developer now has 3,500 apartment units under construction and in the development pipeline across the Valley, with plans to build them all within the next three years.

That's adding to the 2,200 units the company has built since it entered the Valley in 2018, said Jason Larson, COO of IDM Cos.

With 6,401 units in Arizona, Oregon and Washington, the company builds, manages and owns all its projects, and has never sold any of the garden style apartment communities it has built, he said.
