State Farm Stadium to host major continental soccer tournament play this summer
International soccer will again take center stage in the Valley as the 2023 Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) Gold Cup is returning to Glendale.
State Farm Stadium was among the 15 venues across 14 cities selected to host tournament matches this summer. Concacaf said its Gold Cup, which occurs every two years, is its premier event for national teams.
The Gold Cup will be played June 16 through July 16, with SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles hosting the championship game. The complete match schedule, including specific match venue assignments and ticketing information, will be released following the tournament’s official draw, which will take place April 14.
State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, has previously hosted the Concacaf tournament in 2009, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021. The stadium hosted the Super Bowl in February and will host the NCAA Men's Tournament Final Four in 2024.
