Single-family homes, industrial space proposed for 350 acres in Peoria
Two national developers are looking to build a massive master-planned residential, industrial and commercial development called Legacy Point on nearly 350 acres in Peoria.
Walnut, California-based Shea Homes and Kansas City, Missouri-based VanTrust Real Estate have partnered to develop the proposed single-family residential, industrial and mixed-use portions of the site. More than 500 homes could be built on the site, according to developers.
The residential portion of the site is comprised of about 80 acres and is part of another 120 acres planned for residential development at an adjacent site in Glendale. The proposed industrial portion is 175 acres, and the mixed-use site is about 20 acres, which could be developed into professional offices, health care facilities, multifamily or retail.
The large development is proposed to be constructed between 83rd and 75th avenues from Olive to Northern avenues bordering the city of Glendale. It sits nearby several residential areas, as well as the rail line, Grand Avenue, U.S. Route 60, the Loop 101 and other industrial facilities.
