Siemens to provide infrastructure technology for KORE Power Buckeye battery manufacturing facility
KORE Power Inc. has named Siemens Smart Infrastructure as a technology provider for its proposed KOREPlex battery manufacturing facility in Buckeye.
The Coeur d’Alene, Idaho-based battery cell technology developer for clean energy and e-mobility industries on Wednesday announced the partnership to meet growing demand for electric vehicle and renewable energy applications.
“KORE Power is the first U.S.-based, American-owned, and fully integrated provider of cells and batteries,” Lindsay Gorrill, founder and CEO of KORE Power said in a statement. “Together with Siemens’ support and solutions, KORE is uniquely positioned to serve the American market’s demand for batteries, which is expected to nearly triple over the next couple of years.”
Siemens will provide electrical infrastructure and energy management that automates the facility's production operations. The proposed plant would be built near the southeast corner of State Route 85 and Baseline Road.
Siemens' power distribution hardware and software will provide real-time analytics and diagnostic maintenance insights to ensure efficiency of the plant's electrical footprint, according to the company.
