Salad and Go to open 2 new Valley locations
An Arizona-born drive-thru salad chain has two new locations opening in the Valley.
With the 2023 Super Bowl set to begin this month, Salad and Go will open the brand's first location in the San Tan Valley area, at 1754 W. Hunt Highway on Feb. 4 and the second in Glendale, at 9121 W. Glendale Ave. on Feb. 28.
As the popular brand continues to grow in the Grand Canyon State, the company also is growing its footprint in Texas and Oklahoma. In its 10th year in business, the salad chain has established over 50 locations in the Valley and over 90 locations spanning four states: Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada.
After reaching 90 stores in 2022, Salad andGo aims to open 180 stores by the end of 2023. Most of that growth will take place in north Texas, the Business Journal previously reported. The company opened three new Arizona locations last summer – 5218 East Baseline Road in Gilbert, 8220 W. Thunderbird Road in Peoria, and 1302 S. Kolb Road in Tucson.
The salad chain has rapidly grown since Charlie Morrison, Wingstop's former chairman and CEO, took over as CEO of Salad and Go in early 2022. Morrison nominated himself as the new CEO after serving on the company’s board of directors for two years. Morrison more than tripled the number of Wingstop locations to 1,800 and is using his expertise to grow Salad and Go’s brand footprint.
