Mixed-use development proposed for remaining vacant land along I-10 in Goodyear
A mixed-use project comprising new office, housing, retail and hotels has been proposed for some of the remaining vacant land along Interstate 10 in Goodyear.
The development, called Goodyear Celebration Plaza, was recently brought to Goodyear's planning commission by Phoenix-based ICIC Property Investment 5 LLC.
The overall site is about 70 acres located south of I-10 between 143rd Avenue and Litchfield Road adjacent to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America hospital and nearby one of the city's largest industrial centers that employs thousands of workers.
Conceptual site plans show the new project could include a 15-acre office campus to support the hospital and other office uses on the west side of the property. The campus will include two 54,000-square-foot medical office buildings and a three-story office building totaling 140,000 square feet.
This would add to another new 103,000-square-foot office building in Goodyear recently completed at the city center, called GEN 1 at GSQ.
