Goodyear project proposed for former Trotting Park seeks extension from city
A developer is seeking an indefinite extension for a 224-acre mixed-use business and retail center that's slated for the former Phoenix Trotting Park property along Interstate 10 and the Loop 303 in Goodyear.
The project, called the Innovation Centre, will comprise a 2.1 million-square-foot industrial park, 160,000 square feet of retail and entertainment uses and about 722,000-square feet of office space across the site that's also located along Citrus Road.
At full build-out, a masterplan for the project shows the center could include seven industrial buildings ranging in size from 80,000 square feet to 735,000 square feet that could support office, light industrial, distribution and manufacturing uses; a retail and entertainment site with a fitness center, hotel and nine stores; and an office park with eight buildings ranging in size from 42,000 square feet to 102,000 square feet.
