Framing manufacturing plant starts construction north of Phoenix; new Black Rock Coffee to open
Arizona-based FrameTec has started construction on a new roof and floor truss and wall panel manufacturing plant in Camp Verde, which is located north of the Phoenix metro about an hour and 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix.
The new 110,000-square-foot facility is expected to bring 180 new jobs to the area, be operational by the spring of 2024 and represent an investment of $40 million. The new factory is the company's first U.S. manufacturing plant and will serve as its U.S. headquarters in Yavapai County.
The factory will feature automated processes to produce roof and floor trusses and exterior and interior wall panels for framing construction of single-family homes, apartments, hotels and other commercial buildings.
At full build-out, FramTec said it will be able to fabricate materials and frame the equivalent of 3,000 homes annually based on a 2,000-square-foot home. The company's initial plant in Camp Verde will serve the Verde Valley, Prescott, Phoenix metro, Flagstaff, Williams and other nearby communities.
