First look: Caesars Republic Scottsdale on track for early 2024 opening
The highly anticipated opening of the Caesars Republic Scottsdale hotel is nearly a year away.
Branson, Missouri-based HCW Development LLC hosted a topping out party on Thursday, showing off the 11-story 265-room hotel to the community and elected officials. Caesars Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq: CZR) has the naming rights to the non-gaming hotel.
HCW expects construction to continue through the year in preparation for a February 2024 opening. It will have features such as a rooftop pool and lounge, five 2,000-square-foot penthouse suites, views of Scottsdale and Camelback Mountain, two restaurants designed by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis and more.
"It's a very luxurious and cool project," said Rick Huffman, CEO of HCW.
Plans for the Caesars Republic Scottsdale date back to early 2019 when Caesars Entertainment) chose to open its first non-gaming hotel in Scottsdale. The hotel is located on the corner of Goldwater Boulevard and Highland Avenue next to Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. Construction started in 2020 — less than a month before the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted business and halted the progress on construction of the hotel.
It resumed vertical construction on the $110 million project in the spring of 2022.
