Developer buys Valley land for industrial facility in growing employment area

Phoenix-based ViaWest Group recently acquired a large property in the West Valley for a planned industrial park that's slated to include nearly 2 million square feet of space across 15 buildings.

The overall site totals about 144 acres in Glendale on the northwest and southwest corners of Litchfield and Bethany Home roads east of Luke Air Force Base. The property is adjacent to an RV and boat storage facility and the Dreaming Summit residential community in Litchfield Park.

ViaWest Group purchased an initial 82 acres for the first phase of the industrial park, called The Base Industrial Park, on Oct. 3 for $12.5 million from Airpark 30 LLC, an entity connected to Domres Grading Inc., according to real estate database Vizzda. ViaWest is expected to close on the remaining property in 2023.
