Canadian master-plan developer is getting into the Arizona homebuilding business
Brookfield Residential — which has invested $1 billion developing master-planned communities in Arizona — now will start building its own homes beginning this fall.
Since entering the Arizona market in 2012, the Calgary, Canada-based developer always had plans to build its own homes here, said Nicole Burdette, president of Brookfield's land and housing development for the southern California market.
Plans call for building its first Arizona home at its 1,130-acre Alamar master-planned community in Avondale.
