Agate Construction is staying busy in the East Valley.

The local construction firm has a new contract to lead the construction of four aircraft hangar buildings at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa. The project will include 68,500 square feet of new hangar space. Agate is gearing up with preconstruction services such as budgeting, scheduling, logistics planning, value engineering analysis, permit acquisition and more with plans to break ground in the first quarter of 2025.

The project developer, DKS Properties, is led by Jay Donkersloot, who has worked with Agate on past projects over the years, said Lou Primak, principal and chief operating officer at Agate Construction, in a statement.
